Ways To Increase Abundance And Prosperity

Opening Up Space for Abundance and Prosperity, by Özlem Denizmen is a book I found in my mother’s library.  I learned, through my research, that she has an international reputation on financial literacy. She mainly supports women as entrepreneurs.  I think having a healthy relationship to money is one of the key elements for abundance and prosperity. After all Francis Bacon once said:

“If money be not thy servant, it will be thy master.”

Discover your values to live your passion, which is the source of abundance and prosperity.

Financial Literacy As A Key To Abundance and Prosperity

As the social and economic organisations are getting more complex, and we experience global crisis at many levels, financial literacy is becoming a vital necessity for families as well as people of all ages.

Harvard law professor and her daughter Elizabeth Warren  and Amelia Warren Tyagi recommend a 50-30-20 budget in their book ‘All Your Worth: The Ultimate Lifetime Money Plan:

  • Spend no more than 50% of your income on “Unavoidables”. These are expenses that must be paid no matter what, such as rent, tax, health insurance and utility bills.
  • Spend, 30% of your income on your “Wants”, such as entertainment and new clothing.
  • Invest for your future the remaining 20% of your income. When you know how investing is the greatest source of accumulating and maintaining wealth.

Core Values For Abundance and Prosperity

The world within and the world without are really one world seen as reflections of each other.

You need to update your beliefs about money, life, and abundance – only if you experience a lack of prosperity in your life because you are conditioned to spend by our society.

“You get no more and no less than what you believe you deserve.” Dan Millman

Whether you think you can, or you think you can‘t, youre right.”  Henry Ford

One way of updating limiting beliefs is to go back to the basics of who you are.  This will awaken you.  You will get in touch with what it means for you to live passionately.

Abundance and prosperity come from living your dreams. Poverty and depression is about believing your nightmares.

Start by asking yourself; what truly motivates, inspires me? What makes me feel alive? What are my sources of contentment?

Look at this list of core values and choose 5 that resonate with you right now.  Make them visible; use these as your compass to guide your decisions, words and actions.  Mines are:

  • Balance
  • Creativity
  • Fun
  • Love
  • Meaning

As you intend to live in line with your core values, be encouraged with these words from Martin Luther King:

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”

Once you align yourself with your intention, it seems as if the wheels of  universe start to move.  There are resources on the Internet if you know where to look.  I have found this Household Economy Knowledge Centre  for you where you can get free e-books on household and family budgeting, managing your money household economy or reading money saving tips and ideas for coping with the increasing cost of living.

Best Practices For Abundance and Prosperity

There are many approaches to abundance and prosperity from science to more spiritual sources.  I included in my list of best practices some Feng shui tips as well. Feng shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China that reveals how to balance the energies of spaces for health and good fortune.

  • Discover your values and your limiting beliefs.
  • Release an intention to change all aspects of your life so that it is in accordance with your core values.
  • Help your partner to do the same.
  • Review and update your values and beliefs whenever you feel lost.
  • Start each day with a positive mind.
  • Choose to give without expectation.
  • Teach and guide your children to live a passionate life by following their dreams.
  • Tidy your home, rooms, cupboards and desk to allow energy of abundance and prosperity to flow.
  • Keep the toilet seat and door closed and make sure there is no dripping faucet or plumbing as it drains the finances of the house.

I wish us all as a planet, a respectful existence full of abundance and prosperity!
